Zurilee Pizza

Bottoms up wine shop 

Unlike some wine shops, Bottoms up Wine Shop has a great selection to choose from! Did I mention that they have a rewards program? You can redeem your rewards online and in store. Speaking of in store, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting you with choosing wine & spirit options.

Crème and Coco Creamery 

 

Cool down, and enjoy ice cream, sorbets, smoothies and desserts from Crème and Coco Creamery. All hand crafted, and made with absolute love! Pssttt, they also cater FAM! 

 

 

Abu's Homestyle Bakery 

 

One of the things I celebrate the most is small businesses, particularly Family owned businesses. Small businesses is the driving force behind your local economy and need our support to sustain profitable, successful businesses. Okay, I'm getting off of my soap box, but Abu's Bakery is a family owned business, producing some of the best, home style fresh goods, from cakes, cookies and pies.

 

Cakeboi 

 

Hip hops very own Brooklyn Baker, is cooking up delicious treats, including Tupac and Biggie shaped cookies! The cherry cheese cake NEVER disappoints with its velvet, smooth texture and perfect not too sweet, crust! 

 

 

 

Peppa's Jerk Chicken Restaurant 

 

Two words: JERK CHICKEN 'nuff said! If you want authentic jerk chicken or fried escovitch fish with Bammy (or festival)..Son....need I say more??!! Just head down to Peppa's! Let's not forget that your meal comes with rice & peas, plantains and cabbage.

Picky Eaters Restaurant 

 

 

Flatbush where you at??!!! (Random shot out) Picky Eaters Restaurant is "home of the Trini style barbecue lamb" and the gluten free jerk chicken. The menu gives a whole new spin to Caribbean cuisine, from Plantain bruschetta with Pikliz to Haitian style fritters drizzled with Tamarind sauce. 

 

 

 

Greedi Vegan 

 

 

 

Alright Vegans, we haven't forgotten about you! Greedi Vegan is your go-to for plant base, gluten free, and vegan "comfort food". Why? Because it's good for you, literally! Grab a bowl of "mac & goodness", pancakes for breakfast, or cauliflower bites as appetizers. 
 

Brooklyn Blend 

 

 

Brooklyn Blend is an all-natural juice shop, serving you health conscious folks, salads, sandwiches, smoothies and juices. Enjoy the Park Slope Salmon sandwich or the Montague Mushroom sandwich. Wash it all down with a "Bed-stuy Beet Juice". 

 

 

 

El Jeffe Modern Mexican Grill 

 

That one time your taste buds craved for Mexican food infused with Caribbean flare! And then you tried the Jerk Pork Taco which was well seasoned and tender, chips and salsa (because no Mexican meal is complete without chips and salsa), fried shrimp, and a cheese quesadilla. Then washed it all down with a Frozen Sangria....or two (this is a "no judgement zone). Surely you worked up an appetite at Afropunk, rocking out to some of the dopest artists in the game. Now it's time to get your grub on!

 


 

Ode to Babel 

 

I mean, Ode to Babel was featured in Vogue Magazine so it has to be a dope spot if it's cool enough to be in a high fashion magazine right? This Prospect Heights Cocktail bar spins old school hip hop, in its intimate space. Any place with the likes of Grace Jones and Frida Khalo as wall art is cool with me! 

 

 

 

Tip Top Bar & Grill 

 

The Tip Top Bar & Grill is a Bed-stuy "dive bar". Opened in the 1950s, this Brooklyn landmark is a throwback to the "good old days". A juke box in the back complete with the sounds from the 70s to the greatest R&B hits.

Bed-vyne 

 

Bed-byne is a boutique wine and spirits shop. Pull up when the sun is out and the weather is warm, you might catch the DJ spinning in the streets with crowd dancing to nostalgic Throwback tunes. Yup, it's that kind of party y'all! 

 

 

Sweet Chick 

 

Sweet Chick restaurant, co-owned by mogul, Nas, is serving up southern cuisine goodness from braided pork belly, to buffalo fried chicken. 
 

Sol Sips 

 

Sol Sips, a Vegan restaurant, where brunch is served on a "sliding scale "during the weekends. Serving up Jack Fruit Paninis, avocado mushroom melts and strawberry pineapple mango coconut smoothies. Like.. mixed all together. 

 

 

 

Grandchamps Kitchen & Market 

 

This trendy, yet casual and laid back, place is bringing you home cooked Haitian meals. From griot, legume, tassot cabrit to djon djon. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is excellent and the service is great! 

 

 

Brooklyn Braised 

 

This farm to fork catering company is a great alternative to eating out, while enjoying a host of friends in doors, after Afropunk! The dishes come out looking like pieces of art on a plate, and taste ABSOLUTELY divine. You can also choose between Vegan, and Vegetarian options as well. Kick your feet up and let Brooklyn Braised do the rest! 

 

 

The Crabby Shack 

 

All I'm going to say is, bruh, they have Crab Tacos! And for you lobster lovers, there's a lobster roll on the menu just for you! Throw in a side of crab cakes (We don't do diets during Afropunk). If you're in the mood for some flavorful seafood, head down to The Crabby Shack (that playlist in there is dope too) 

 

 

 

Daddy Green's Pizza 

 

Let's talk about their playlist of Afro beats, hip hop, and of course, the infamous pizza! The staff is welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that guests experience the highest level of customer service. They even have Vegan "Sicilian style" pizza. 

 

 

 

 

Buka New York 

 

Buka New York feels like home, spicy, flavorful, traditional African cuisine. I mean there's a Nigerian bus inside of the restaurant! The menu: Red Snapper with Fu Fu and sauce, Ogbono, Egusi Oha Soil and of course, no dish is complete without Jollof Rice. 

 

 

Jemz 

 

Another Caribbean restaurant? Umm yes! Oxtail, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken, Fried Chicken, Red Snapper?? So many delicious items to choose from! Friendly staff, great food, what more can you ask for? 

 

 

Rustik Tavern 

 

This cozy, Brooklyn joint, is known for its delicious fried chicken, and "boozy brunch". Listen to some 90s music, enjoy the food, and catch up with out of town guests. 
 

 

 

 

Amarachi 

 

If you love a good time, dope music, cool crowds with great food, then you'll love Amarachi! Check out the Groove Theory R&B brunch. What's on the menu? Everybody's favorite, chicken and waffles, "The Big Breakfast " which comes with Brioche French toast, scrambled eggs and toast. Not in the mood for breakfast? Grab some Party Platter Wings, or the Bubby Burger Deluxe. 

 

 

Sweet Science 

 

Sigh....fried chicken, crab cakes, catfish sandwiches, The Joe Louis burger, Hanger Steak. I didn't even bother to look for the healthy food options on the menu, but you get my drift. There's so much to love about "Sweet Science", like their signature drink menu Southpaw, Hemmingway Daiquiri and El Lucador. H. 

 

Negril BK 

 

Authentic Caribbean food, weekly events, in this beautifully designed space, is the perfect spot to chill with friends! Don't have a big appetite? No problem! Their small bites menu is delicious, try the bbq dry rub, sorrel infused ribs, or the ackee & salt fish spring rolls, with Tamarind sauce. Her meat balls anyone? Say no more! 

 

 

 

Imani Caribbean Kitchen & Bar 

 

Located in Brooklyn's Fort Greene community, the locally sourced food consist of Caribbean cuisine with a "Brooklyn flare". Like "Caribbean chips and salsa" made with fresh ingredients, and green plantain chips. "Beach Side fish tacos" and "jerk mayo". 

 


 

Pearl's 

 

Known for its bake and shark sandwiches, tamarind wings, jerk chicken, and all of the Caribbean ". fixins". Try one of Pearl's spin on the signature drink, the "Moscow Mule", or the "Tobago Mule", Rum Punch, "Dutty Wine" Sangria along with a great list of cocktails! 

 

 

 

Soco 

 

Soco is what Jazz super club meets Brooklyn. Soothing, distinctive tones and rhythmic patterns playing in the background, with an array of Creole soul food to choose from, along with an amazing atmosphere. Guests can choose from Short rib pizza, butter milk fried chicken and waffles, to pecan crusted pork chops, in a red wine reduction sauce. 

 

 

Sisters 

 

Sisters decor alone is incredible, if you like rustic, chic mixed with a little contemporary design. What's on the menu? Fried pickles, asparagus toast made with goat cheese, egg, lemon and herb oil. Mac and cheese, Merenquez Sausage and the Salmon. They do it all here, breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night! 

 

 

 

Brooklyn moon cafe 

 

Brooklyn moon cafe is small, quaint, cafe serving Caribbean and American cuisine. It's definitely a great spot for brunch if you're not looking for an overcrowded, loud, restaurant. You can "build your own brunch", with protein choices such as fried chicken breasts, Fried whiting , jerk or honey bbq wings, add spicy fries, Mac and cheese , collard greens, cheese or regular grits including mimosas.
