Having an accountability partner is much different than having a best friend. Your relationships differ based on the foundation in which the relationship is built upon. The common goal you and your accountability partner share is entrepreneurship. The truth is, an accountability partner is great to have for a number of reasons:
Motivation
It’s one thing to have a friend or family member root for you while on your entrepreneur journey however, it’s another to be motivated by someone who actually knows your business, understand what it’s like to be an entrepreneur and who can keep you motivated during the most challenging times in your business.
Transparency
Having an accountability partner allows the both of you to be transparent about entrepreneurship. Its a chance to be open and honest with someone about your fears, doubt and discomfort. In those moments, you need someone who has been there before, someone who has shared your same feelings and can tell you how to get through it. Its about having a "no judgement" space to discuss what's really going on the behind the scenes of your business. Being able to be completely honest and open without judgement is the greatest support system you can ever have.
Support
True support consists of having someone who is on the same path as you, to help you navigate through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. Someone to talk you “off the ledge” and keep you from quitting when times get rough. Having someone to provide you with constructive feedback that you can apply to your business is priceless.

Wouldn’t it be dope if you had someone to ask about implementing a marketing strategy to help grow your business? Having a partner that can help you set and implement growth strategies can essentially help you succeed in business. It’s about having someone to bounce ideas off of, strategize with while keeping you motivated.
Accountability
Unlike your homegirls, your accountability partner will let you know when you’re slacking and what you need to do to stay on track with your goals. You need someone who will hold you accountable for achieving the goals you set in your business.
Find an accountability partner who shares the same goals as you do, has the same values and work ethic. True support, is having someone who can provide you valuable feedback as well as hold you accountable for achieving your goals.
