What makes Piikup a “rising star” in this growing industry is that, the business of food delivery has attracted more than $1 billion, with growth potential in markets such as America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Most countries expect to see an annual growth of an estimated rate of 3.5 percent over the next 5 years.

The market leaders in terms of gross sales in 2015 were the Grubhub and Seamless. Grubhub and Seamless had the largest gross sales by far at around 2.4 billion U.S. dollars, almost ten times that of Eat24 which generated gross sales of 264 million U.S. dollars.

Even though the concept of food delivery is ancient, thanks to technology, food apps have changed the industry as we know it. Customer behavior has contributed greatly to the new demand of delivery services ranging from food delivery, to dry cleaning services. Apps like DoorDash, UberEats, and Caviar have made it easier for customers to customize restaurant orders, without having to leave their homes.

More and more businesses are incorporating services such as Piikup as an alternative to keep up with the demand of sales, with the ability to take advantage of flexible pricing that most large companies do not offer, such as UberEats and DoorDash offer.

Folks, keep your eye on Piikup, as this rising star sets the stage to become the “opening act” of a Broadway production! Spread the news, and share April Fenall’s journey of growing her startup Piikup.
